The Volunteers Committee is responsible for sourcing volunteers for the 45th District. Volunteers can participate in any of the standing committees, or can help with the following kinds of activities:
- Voter outreach: Engaging with constituents through door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and community events.
- Campaign support: Assisting candidates running for office in that district with tasks like distributing campaign materials and organizing rallies.
- Voter registration: Helping eligible citizens register to vote and providing information about the registration process.
- Get-out-the-vote efforts: Encouraging registered voters to cast their ballots, especially during election periods.
- Issue advocacy: Promoting awareness of key legislative issues affecting the district.
- Fundraising: Organizing events and activities to raise money for candidates or causes.
- Grassroots organizing: Building a network of engaged citizens to support political activities in the district.
- Election day support: Volunteering at polling stations or providing transportation for voters.
- Community service: Organizing events or projects to benefit the local community.
- Liaison with elected officials: Communicating constituent concerns to representatives and senators.
