SAVE THE DATE: The 2016 precinct caucuses are almost here
On Saturday March 26th, the Democratic party will be holding precinct caucuses across our state.
Precinct caucuses are the first step in determining who will become the Democratic presidential candidate in 2016: Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. If you are a resident of Washington state, this is YOUR chance to support your preferred candidate and ensure they have a chance at becoming President of the United States — so save the date and plan to participate!

WHEN to Caucus:
Saturday, March 26th – 10:00AM
WHO can Caucus:
Registered voters who consider themselves to be Democrats can participate in their Democratic precinct caucus. If you will turn 18 between the date of the precinct caucuses and Election Day 2016, you are also eligible to caucus. You MAY also register to vote on-site on the day of the caucus.
HOW to Participate:
Show up at your precinct’s Area Caucus location by 10:00am. You can check in in person at the caucus, but we strongly urge you to use the state’s pre-registration / check-in process. You can find the pre-registration form here: www.DemCaucus.com
If you are unable to attend your precinct caucus due to religious observance, military service, disability, illness, or work schedule, you may fill out and submit a surrogate affidavit. Surrogate affidavits must be submitted by no later than Friday, March 18th. You can access the Surrogate Affidavit form HERE.
WHERE to Caucus:
Precinct caucuses will be hosted at area caucus locations near your neighborhood. You MUST show up at the correct location for your precinct. Click HERE to find out where your precinct caucus will be held, and to check in ahead of time and avoid the lines!
